can eye floaters be linked to cancer?

My inlaw is being treated for colon cancer that has spread to his liver. This morning he woke up with floaters in his eyes that have never been there before. He is 65 yrs. old and is undergoing chemotherapy

No...eye floaters are very common and are not linked to cancer.
