Will a over the counter pregnancy test show up positive for a ectopic pregnancy?

Maybe....it depends on how early the pregnancy is. Ectopic pregnancies rear their ugly heads quite early and many women do not even know they are pregnant when the terrible pain begins.  No pregnancy test will determine the location of the pregnancy (uterine or ecopic)...only an ultrasound can do that.
